Billing and AI Credits
Nova uses a subscription billing model. Paid plans include more credits and let you access more features.
This page explains what plans are available, what a credit is, and how you can monitor and manage your credits.
Plans and credits
Each plan tier includes a credit allowance. You spend 1 credit every time Nova completes an AI build. If you use all your credits, you will not be able to generate an AI build until your credits refresh or you upgrade your plan.

Free plan
If your hosting provider assigns you to the Free plan, you will receive a small credit allowance to try Nova. The Free plan includes the following restrictions:
- Publishing: You cannot publish projects to live domains.
- Code Editor: You cannot access the code editor mode.
- Projects: You can only create 1 project.
- Credits: Your credits do not reset monthly. If you use all your credits, you will have to upgrade to a paid plan.
Paid plans
If your hosting provider assigns you to a paid plan, you will receive a credit allowance that refreshes each month. Paid plans lift all restrictions from the Free plan and include unlimited projects. The paid plan tiers are Start, Build, Grow, and Scale.
Billing
Your provider bills paid plans as a monthly subscription at a flat rate.
If you switch plans mid-cycle, your provider may prorate your charges or adjust your next invoice based on the plan change. Your provider may also change your available credits and active projects immediately.

Review your credit allowance
You can see how many credits you have remaining in the Credits section of the Account Menu.
If you are on a paid plan, the Account Menu also shows the date when your credits refresh.
To review your usage, go to the Account Menu, select Settings, and select the Plan & Usage tab.
Your unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
AI builds
When you send a prompt to Nova, Nova starts an AI build.
An AI build includes:
- The prompt you send to Nova.
- Nova’s AI reasoning, planning, and code generation.
- The final result of your prompt. This could be Nova’s response to a question, an update to your existing project, or a ready-to-publish website or app.
Each completed AI build uses 1 credit. To learn how to use your credits efficiently, read our Prompting Best Practices documentation.
If Nova is interrupted and does not complete a full AI build, check your usage history to confirm whether Nova consumed a credit.
To check your usage history, go to the Account Menu, select Settings, and select the Plan & Usage tab.
