How WebPros Bills for Nova
WebPros bills for Nova differently depending on how you offer it to your customers. Nova on cPanel uses a pay-as-you-go model based on how many accounts use each Nova plan each day. Nova on WebPros Cloud uses a fixed monthly fee for each customer license.
Nova in cPanel billing
Nova on cPanel uses a pay-as-you-go model. Your charges depend on how many of your customer accounts use each Nova plan each day of your billing cycle.
Each day, your cPanel & WHM server reports how many Nova accounts use each plan. Manage2 adds those daily counts together across the billing cycle, then multiplies the total for each plan by that plan’s daily rate.
Billing calculation
For each plan, Manage2 multiplies two values to calculate your charge:
- Total account days — The number of accounts on that plan each day, added together across the billing cycle.
- Daily rate — The fixed daily price for that plan.
For example, if 30 accounts on your server used the Start plan every day for 10 days of a 30-day billing cycle, the Start plan accrues 300 account days. Manage2 multiplies those 300 account days by the Start daily rate to produce your charge for that plan.
Daily rates are fixed values based on a 30-day month. To find the current daily rate for each plan, check Manage2 or contact your account manager.
Free plan accounts
Your server includes Free plan accounts in its daily counts, but those accounts carry no charge. Nova reports them for tracking purposes only.
Plan changes
Because WebPros bills for Nova on cPanel by the day, you can move accounts between plans at any time. WebPros charges each day for the plan the account used that day, so upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations need no proration.
Nova in WebPros Cloud billing
Nova on WebPros Cloud uses a fixed monthly fee for each customer license. The amount depends only on which plan the customer uses: Start, Build, Grow, or Scale. How actively the customer uses Nova does not change the fee.
WebPros bills these licenses in the same way as other WebPros Cloud products. WebPros tracks Free plan licenses but never bills them.
If a customer upgrades mid-cycle, your next invoice reflects the new plan.
Compare the billing models
The following table compares how WebPros bills each Nova offering:
| Billing Factor | Nova on cPanel | Nova on WebPros Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Pay-as-you-go | Fixed monthly fee |
| Charge based on | How many accounts use each plan each day | The plan each customer holds |
| Effect of usage | Direct. You pay for the accounts that ran each day. | None. The fee is the same regardless of activity. |
| Partial cycles | You pay per day | You pay for a full month |
| Free plan | Your server counts it; you pay nothing | WebPros tracks it; you pay nothing |
Your billing cycle and invoices
Nova charges appear on your cPanel license invoice.
Your billing cycle runs from the 16th of one month to the 15th of the next. WebPros records your active licenses and accrued usage on the 15th, then issues your invoice on that date. Anything active or accrued inside that range appears on the 15th invoice.
On the Manage2 Billing Summary page, Nova on cPanel charges appear under usage-based products, with a total for each Nova plan. A separate Usage Details page breaks down which IP addresses generated usage on which plans.
Cancellations
Neither billing model refunds unused days. Canceling stops future charges. It does not recalculate or refund a billing cycle that WebPros has already billed you for.
Canceling works differently in each billing model:
- Nova on cPanel — If you remove an account, it stops accruing daily charges that day. You still pay for the days it accrued earlier in the billing cycle.
- Nova on WebPros Cloud — If you cancel a license before the 15th, it never enters that billing cycle. You still pay for the full cycle if you cancel after the 15th.
How you bill your customers
Your customers see plans and credits rather than daily rates and account days. Each Nova plan includes a set number of credits, and each completed AI build uses 1 credit.
