You can use Nova’s voice-to-text feature to create your website or web application. This feature is useful if you have limited typing mobility.

Turn on voice-to-text

To turn on the voice-to-text feature, click the microphone icon ( Microphone icon) in the prompt text box on either your main Nova or project page. Then, allow your browser to access the microphone.

If your browser does not detect the microphone, check your computer’s microphone settings.

Use voice-to-text

To use the voice-to-text feature, speak your prompt naturally and in complete sentences. Nova will turn your speech into words that will appear in the prompt text box.

Make sure to review the text and correct any errors before you submit the prompt to Nova. If there are many errors, check your microphone’s settings or try using Nova with a different microphone.

  • To use this feature, you must allow your browser to access the microphone.
  • Do not dictate any private or secret information into the prompt text box.

Turn off voice-to-text

To turn off the voice-to-text feature, click the stop-recording icon ( Stop recording icon) in the prompt text box on either your main Nova or project page.

If you do not speak for 10 seconds, Nova will automatically turn off the microphone.
