# Getting startedOverview of WebPros Nova's core build workflow: enter an idea in the prompt box, click Start Building to generate a first draft, review in the preview panel, and refine with prompts and tools. Available refinement tools include Improve Prompt, Project Instructions, File Attachments, Image Generation, Voice to Text, Edit Previous Prompt, Edit Mode, Code Editor, and Website Publishing.

This page gives you a simple overview of how Nova works. For full walkthroughs, see [How to Create a Website](/en/welcome/how-to-create-a-website/) or [How to Create a Web Application](/en/welcome/how-to-create-a-web-application/).

## Before you start

For better first results, make sure you know:

- **The type of project** — Do you want a website or web app?
- **The main goal** — What do you want visitors or users to do?
- **Your audience** — Who this project is for?
- **Any must-have details** — Do you have pages, features, tone, or style preferences?

## Basic workflow

At a high level, most projects follow this workflow:

1. Enter your idea in the prompt text box. You do not need to write perfect prompts to get started. A short, clear request is enough for your first draft.
2. Click _Start Building_ to generate your first draft.
3. Review the result in the preview.
4. Keep refining with prompts and targeted tools.

Think of the first generation as a starting point, not the final version.

## Features you can use in Nova

After you generate your first draft, you can use these tools in Nova to improve quality and consistency:

- [Improve Prompt](/en/features/create/improve-prompt/) adds structure and detail before generation.
- [Project Instructions](/en/features/create/project-instructions/) sets persistent rules for the whole project.
- [File Attachments](/en/features/create/file-attachments/) provides source files and reference material.
- [Image Generation](/en/features/create/image-generation/) creates new visual assets.
- [Voice to Text](/en/features/create/voice-to-text/) to dictate prompts instead of typing.
- [Edit Previous Prompt](/en/features/create/edit-previous-prompt/) revises earlier prompts and regenerate from that point.

## What happens after the first draft

Nova helps you create a strong first draft. From there, you can continue with:

- [Edit Mode](/en/features/design/edit-mode/) for targeted element-level changes.
- [Code Editor](/en/features/design/code-editor/) for direct code-level updates.
- [Website Publishing](/en/features/publish/website-publishing/) when you are ready to go live.

## Troubleshooting first drafts

If your first result is too generic or not what you wanted:

- Add more context about your audience and business goal.
- Specify required pages or features.
- Use [Improve Prompt](/en/features/create/improve-prompt/) before generating again.
- Add [Project Instructions](/en/features/create/project-instructions/) to keep style and rules consistent.
