Nova Change Log

This change log summarizes the major user-facing Nova releases and lists them newest first.

Nova 15.0

Released August 11, 2026

New capabilities

  • Clarifying questions during multiagent builds: Nova now pauses mid-build to ask clarifying questions when it needs more information, instead of guessing. This is currently behind a feature flag. Reach out if you’d like it enabled for you.

User interface

  • Inline Undo: Users can now roll back a chat response directly from an inline Undo icon.
  • Reduced-motion support: Nova now honors the reduced-motion preference across the UI, including calmer animations inside preview frames.

Partner and admin

  • Redesigned Partner Dashboard: The Partner Dashboard now uses sidebar-based navigation, direct links to every page, an updated header with a dark mode toggle, and improved analytics.
  • Partner Rebuild failure visibility and retry: Partners now see the failure reason when a Partner Rebuild fails and can retry it directly.
  • Webhook improvements: New project_created event, project identity and preview link included in webhook payloads, connected domain name added to the domain_connected payload, and a new event for custom domain deletion.
  • Branding URL variables: Upgrade URL and Purchase Domain URL now support Project ID, username, and email variables.
  • Updated Nova Experience on cPanel WHMCS module: Upgrade deep links, upgrade link recognition, a rebuilt landing page, and a configurable application name for white-labeling.

Nova 14.0

Released July 15, 2026

New capabilities

  • Plan Mode: Nova now builds a clear implementation plan and asks any missing questions before it starts generating, so users know what to expect before the build begins. This is currently behind a feature flag. Reach out if you’d like it enabled for you.

User interface

  • Dark mode: Nova now supports dark mode, with an Auto/Light/Dark toggle available in the top right corner.
  • Published domain in Your Projects: The Your Projects section on the homepage now shows the domain linked to a published project at a glance.

Partner and admin

  • Multiple white-label brands per partner: Partners can now run several distinct brands, each with its own domain, logo, theme, webhook, and API key, under a single account.
  • Partner Rebuild API improvements: Partners can now reassign recreated websites to real users after signup.
  • Automated partner onboarding: New partners get a welcome email and a guided first-login flow to set up their Upsell and Logout URLs.
  • Per-partner database region configuration: Partners can now have their data hosted in a specific database region to meet local data residency needs.

Nova 13.0

Released June 17, 2026

New capabilities

  • MP4 file attachment: Users can now attach MP4 videos on the main page and project page. Nova uses uploaded videos to generate the website.

User interface

  • Explore prompts language sync: Explore prompts now automatically translates to the selected language immediately after switching, without requiring a page refresh.
  • Improved mobile experience: Mobile design improvements include slide-up drawer menus throughout the application and a Publish button on the mobile version of the project page.

Partner and admin

  • API to recreate websites: Partners can call an API endpoint with a URL and prompt to regenerate an outdated site in a modern version. This feature is behind a feature flag; WebPros can enable it for any partner on request.
  • Preview link tracking: A new Mixpanel event tracks how often users click the Preview link.

Nova 12.0

Released June 2, 2026

New capabilities

  • Design system: Users can now create their own design systems in Nova and apply them when creating a project. All new projects inherit styles from the design system, and users can build multiple projects from the same design system.
  • Recreate website from URL: Users can provide a URL to trigger the Recreate website feature, which generates a copy of that website.
  • Project category: Each project now has an AI-generated category, helping analyze what types of projects are most commonly built with Nova. Categories appear on the project dashboard.

Monetization and plans

  • New upsell modal: Nova now shows all users the winning variant from an A/B test, driving higher conversion to paid plans.

User interface

  • Updated main page design: The main page now features a more colorful and eye-catching design.
  • Explore prompts and Generate project ideas merge: The Explore prompts and Generate project ideas sections now combine into one with a toggle to switch between them, reducing visual clutter and helping users discover new project ideas.
  • Clickable domain: The published website’s domain is now clickable and opens in a new tab. Nova has removed the View domain option from the project menu.

Localization

  • German localization: Nova is now available in German, selectable from the user menu.

Partner and admin

  • Partner webhooks: Partners can now subscribe to Nova events via the admin panel and receive real-time updates when those events occur.
  • Partner Kit: A dedicated partner kit covers how Nova works, pre-launch steps, go-to-market positioning, and useful resources. The portal is available to users with the Partner or Admin role.
  • Partner filter in analytics: Admins can filter analytics, users, and projects by partner using a dropdown in the admin panel.
  • Updated Share feedback modal: Users can leave feedback and report bugs directly from the Nova UI. All submissions appear on the Feedback page in the admin panel.
  • Users table filtering: The users page can now be filtered by role, status, and partner.
  • Latest IP in users table: The admin dashboard now shows the user’s most recent known IP address on their page.

Nova 11.0

Released May 4, 2026

New capabilities

  • Nova Back End: Nova can now generate the back end for Nova applications. With this feature, Nova becomes a product that can generate not only the front end of websites, but also databases and back-end infrastructure. This means users can generate full, complex applications in Nova, not just landing pages and front-end apps.
  • Image generation for all users: All plans now include AI image generation.
  • Project database export: Users can export a project’s database for backup or external use.
  • Resizable prompt field: Users can now resize the prompt field on the main page for longer prompts.
  • Project usage stats in settings: Users can view detailed usage analytics for individual projects from the Project Settings page.
  • Recommend Domain variable support: Nova now supports a {domain} variable in the domain recommendation URL, so partners can deep link users to a page where they can purchase the selected domain.
  • Unpublish and View: Users can unpublish their website and view the domain with two buttons we added to the published pop-up window.
  • Performance Analytics: Users can view the performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO scores and analytics for their published website, along with Nova’s suggestions from Nova on how to improve it. Nova also has a handy Try to Fix button to apply suggestions right away.

Monetization and plans

  • Redesigned upgrade experience: Nova now has a new upgrade experience.
  • Back-end generation upsell: Nova prompts free-plan users to upgrade when they attempt to use back-end generation features.

Partner and admin

  • New projects chart in partner analytics: Partners can track project creation trends over time from the Partner Dashboard.
  • Published column in partner dashboard: Partners can now see which projects users have published.
  • Number of projects column: Both admin and partner dashboards now show the total project count per user.
  • Admin jump to page: Admin tables now include a jump to page control for easier navigation through large datasets.

Nova 10.0

White labeling and partner management

  • Configurable footer watermark: Partners can choose whether generated sites show a watermark and can customize the watermark text from the partner dashboard.
  • White-label login screen branding: Partner logos and branding now appear on the Nova login screen.
  • Configurable application name in chat: Partners can configure the product name that the chat interface shows from the Partner Dashboard.
  • Custom back-end email sender: Partners can configure the sender title for authentication emails.

  • Admin user search: The admin panel now supports searching users by username.

  • Preview link in project menu: The project context menu now includes a Preview link option.

  • Improved project reactivation: Nova automatically reactivates inactive projects when users interact with them.

Nova 9.0

  • Generate project ideas: Users can generate categorized project ideas directly from the main page.
  • Sort Recent Projects: Users can sort projects by name, status, or last edited date.
  • Reset credits on plan upgrade: Upgrading from a free plan to a paid plan immediately resets credits to the full paid-plan allowance.

  • French Quebec localization: Nova now supports French-Canadian for cPanel users.

Nova 8.0

Connections feature

  • Connect TypeForm: Connections now supports TypeForm integrations for data collection in generated apps.
  • Connect Google Forms: Users can add Google® Forms to projects through Connections for seamless data collection.

User interface

  • Mobile layout optimization: Nova now provides a mobile-optimized interface for mobile browsers.
  • Improved Recent Projects section: The Recent Projects section received UX improvements for faster access and better organization.
  • Refresh button for Explore prompts: Users can refresh suggested prompts on the main page to discover new inspiration.
  • Upgrade button: Nova now shows an Upgrade button in the user account menu.

White labeling and partners

  • Partner Dashboard: A dedicated dashboard now lets partners view usage analytics and manage user accounts.

  • Edit username: Users can update their display name from the profile settings page.
  • Notification sound toggle: Users can enable or disable the build completion sound from settings.

Nova 7.0

New capabilities

  • Voice-to-Text input: Users can dictate project ideas instead of typing them.
  • Custom Project Instructions: Users can set project-specific instructions that Nova will remember and follow to shape the tone, style, and behavior of generated content.
  • Edit Previous Prompts: Users can edit past prompts in chat and re-apply changes without starting over.
  • Device preview toggle: Mobile, tablet, and desktop preview toggle let users review projects across screen sizes.
  • Advanced styling in Edit Mode: Users can apply shadow, border radius, and opacity directly in the styling panel.
  • CSV and Excel file upload: Nova supports spreadsheet uploads for data-driven generation and analytics features.
  • Project previews in Recent Projects: Recent projects now show visual thumbnails for quicker recognition.
  • Undo keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Z): Standard undo works in the visual editor alongside the existing button.

User profile and settings

  • User Profile page: Users can view and update personal account settings from a dedicated page.
  • Project Dashboard: A dedicated settings page now gives users access to project-level configuration options.
  • Partner upsell and sign-in URL integration: Nova redirects users who hit plan limits or have expired sessions to partner-configured pricing or sign-in pages.

Localization

  • Dutch localization: Nova now supports Dutch for cPanel users.
  • Brazilian Portuguese localization: Nova now supports Brazilian Portuguese for cPanel users.

AI quality

  • Improved prompt output structure: Improve Prompt now returns multi-paragraph formatted text for better readability.
  • AI disclaimer label: Prompt fields now display a disclaimer about AI-generated content limitations.

Nova 6.0

User experience and project management

  • Search in Recent Projects: Users can search recent projects by title or initial prompt for faster discovery and navigation.
  • Favorites: Users can mark projects as favorites and access them quickly from the main page.
  • Styling Panel: A new sidebar in Edit Mode consolidates visual editing options and gives users more design tools in one place.
  • Progress bars: Clear progress indicators and auto-scroll after manual edits keep users informed during generation.
  • Disable actions during build: Nova disables the Delete and Copy actions while a project builds to prevent accidental data loss.
  • Confirmation notification: Users now see visual confirmation after projects are deleted or copied.

AI and prompt improvements

  • Like / Dislike and Copy Response: Users can rate AI responses and copy content directly from the chat, which supports quality improvement.
  • Concise LLM chat responses: AI chat responses are shorter and more focused, which reduces noise and improves readability.
  • Auto-generated project descriptions: Nova automatically generates a short project description at creation time.
  • Improve Prompt feature: Improve Prompt now returns only the enhanced prompt without redundant clarifications.
  • Japanese Input Method Editor (IME) input support: The prompt field now handles Japanese IME input correctly without submitting prompts mid-sentence.

Credits and billing

  • No credit deduction on failed generations: Nova only consumes credits for successful generations.
  • Credit refresh display in navigation bar: The navigation dropdown now shows remaining credits and the next refresh date.

Notifications and feedback

  • Sound notification on build complete: An audio alert notifies users when a website finishes building.
  • Public roadmap portal: Users can view upcoming features and submit feature requests through a public roadmap.

Localization and partners

  • Full locale support: Nova now respects locale settings from authentication and account preferences across all pages.
  • Partner embedding script: A reusable prompt field script lets partners embed Nova into their own interfaces.
